Walking in the spirit is not easy in the flesh. The flesh works by sight, and that is not the way of the spirit. The Spirit works by faith. This is a different dimension than walking on sight. Faith sees what cannot be seen and yet believes. Whoever comes to God must believe that he exists. It is impossible to please God without faith. God has not made it impossible for us to walk this path of faith. He sent his Holy Spirit to help us on our way. Now we need to be filled with Him so that we trust Him more than ourselves. If we trust Him, He will come through for us. All the saints who have gone before us are evidence of their trust in God.
God wants us to be filled with the Holy Spirit like a tank is filled. He also wants us to overflow with the Spirit. Being filled is enough for us to function, but abundance empowers us to bless others. Filling our own tank meets our needs, but we are here to bless. Blessings will come from us to bless others and meet their needs. Many are hungry and thirsty, and if we don’t reach them, they will surely die. Baptism in the Spirit is a requirement for defection. This baptism was manifested in the gift of tongues. It is as if abundance is poured out in tongues. Now, as we pray in tongues, we begin to prime the pump to start the overflow.
Pray in tongues
I have found that praying in tongues has enabled me to flow in abundance. Many things that seemed impossible became possible in the overflow. People around me were affected and the atmosphere changed. Often we enter a room filled with a spirit of contention, and our presence calms the atmosphere. Many solutions arise in everyday matters. Creative thoughts and visions manifest themselves in overflow. Healing and deliverance manifest in abundance. Service becomes a joy and not a burden. We’re more likely to be refreshed than drained. Let’s work in abundance today and glow for Jesus.
