I called a Cracker Barrel in New Jersey and spoke to Kelly, let’s find out.
Say it isn’t, every time I talk to Cracker Barrel they all say, “They’re closing.” “What?” No, it can’t close like that. I had to find the truth. I kept searching and searching and finally found some answers just by picking up the phone and calling Cracker Barrel.
According to snopes.com’s mashed.com, a rumor arose based on an online ad that Cracker Barrel was closing its doors in 2021. Cracker Barrel is best known for its southern style of cooking. From their pancakes to bacon and fried chicken to their sweet tea.
I spoke to Kelly in a Cracker Barrel in New Jersey and asked her directly, “Is Cracker Barrel closed.” She said surprisingly “What, where did you hear that ridiculous rumor?” I said, “I keep hearing from friends that they saw it online.” Kelly says “No way, and I know for sure because I own Cracker Barrel stock and shareholders should know first.” She continued “The share goes up.”
I really enjoyed talking to her, she knew all about Cracker Barrel and I asked her if they could come to Ocean County. She told me that Cracker Barrel listens when the residents of a particular area really, really, really want a Cracker Barrel in their area. We need to call Cracker Barrel headquarters.
So there is our answer, NO – Cracker Barrel does not close. I searched it on mashed.com and they also wrote about it being a rumor and a rumor only.
The pancakes, green beans, mashed potatoes, meatloaf and those great rocking chairs are still waiting for us all in the Cracker Barrel.
Please, someone opens a cracker keg in Ocean County.
