Faith S. Hakala passed away suddenly on Saturday September 17, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born on February 25, 1943 to John Henriksson of the Bronx, New York and Fides Henriksson (Gren) of Worcester, MA. She is survived by her 58-year-old husband Kenneth Hakala of Centerville, son Erik Hakala and his wife Stephanie of Yarmouth, daughter Kristin Nielsen (Hakala) and husband Dana of Falmouth, grandson Jake Hakala of Orleans and granddaughter Danielle Browning of Placentia , CA She was also mother to Matthew Hakala (deceased) of Centerville.
Faith spent most of her life as a cashier at Cape Cod Community College’s bookstore. She was dedicated to her faith and was heavily involved in the church. She loved crafts, reading, baking, and keeping up to date with politics and world events. She loved her family and friends most of all. She was unselfish and generous, always putting her needs ahead of her own.
A visiting service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis, MA from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m :00 p.m. at Christ Chapel in Centerville, MA.
