The Cardi family shared a post on their Cardis Furniture & Mattresses Facebook page the sad news that her mother, Marion Cardi, passed away in her arms on July 6th.

She was 100 years old.

Countless people share their condolences, prayers and expressions of sorrow along with Marion’s sons Pete and Ron and their families. Her brother Nick died in 2019.

“Celebrating the life of our mother, Marion Cardi. Mom passed away peacefully today at the age of 100 plus a month and in our arms for a little while,” the family wrote.

The Cardi family said that without exception, everyone Marion met loved her — and she loved them.

“Our wish and hopes is that you had or have someone like our mother in your life,” the family said.

For decades, particularly around the holiday season, Marion Cardi would join her sons Nick, Ron and Pete – collectively known as NI-RO-PE – in commercials and became an instant darling of the airwaves, nurturing a huge and loyal following.

The family mentioned that they would not attempt to post their mother’s remarkable story at this time; However, over the years of getting to know the Cardi brothers, their story is a rich one that began in 1928.

Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses is a third generation family business known for excellent customer service and same day delivery. It has partnered with countless charities, including the Schwartz School-Meeting Street, which joins WBSM and Fun 107 every year.

The brothers say since they were eight or nine years old, their parents taught them two important trades in their industry: dusting and polishing furniture.

Details of the funeral are not yet available.

We all offer our deepest condolences to the Cardi family for their loss.
