Author’s exhibition at the Gallery Bookshop

Gallery Bookshop is hosting an author showcase on January 20 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Each author will give a 10 minute presentation followed by questions and answers for the entire panel. The three featured authors are Denise Larson, author of Anarchy in High Heels, Ilse Niccolini, author of How the Beatles Knew, and Neil Nathan MD, author of Energetic Diagnosis. Fort Bragg High School Wrestling Advantage

FBHS Wrestling is hosting a benefit dinner on January 21 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. David’s Deli at the boatyard is kind enough to host this event and donate all proceeds from meals sold during this time and the waiters donate any of their tips. David’s Deli is located at 163 Boatyard Drive, Fort Bragg.

Advisory Committee on Climate Change

The Mendocino County Climate Action Advisory Committee will meet on January 21 beginning at 3:00 p.m. It is open to the public and comments are welcome online. The Zoom meeting invitation and agenda will be posted on the Mendocino County website a few days prior to the meeting date. Mendocino Coast Humane Society Pet CPR & First Aid

The Mendocino Coast Humane Society is partnering with the American Safety & Health Institute to offer a pet CPR and first aid workshop. The class will take place on Saturday, January 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Mendocino Rec Center common room. The course costs $60 and includes a first aid workbook and certificate of completion. A portion of the proceeds goes to helping the animals at MCHS. Drive-Thru Crab Food

The Fort Bragg Rotary is offering a drive-thru crab feeding on January 22nd. Advance tickets are available by calling Sport Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram at 707-964-5915 during business hours or email [email protected] Pick up your meal at the Fort between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday Bragg Firehouse off. The meal, shrimp and go, includes 3 halves of shrimp, 7 ounces of chowder, a bun, a green salad and a cookie from the Little Valley Cookie Company, all for $50, with proceeds benefiting Timberwolf Stadium and Fort Bragg benefit Rotary projects.
