You may have never heard of it, but Amazon offers a free e-book tool called Reading Insights that not only tracks your reading history, but might inspire you to read even more. Reading Insights tracks your streaks for consecutive days of reading, stats on the number of days you read each month, and has a complete history of each day you continued reading.

The service also tracks the books you complete each year and allows you to set a reading goal – which can inspire you to read more.

If you like the sound of this Kindle tool and are wondering why you haven’t heard of it, there’s a good reason.

Reading Insights is not available directly on an Amazon Kindle device – you must access it by going to the official website of the serviceor via the official Kindle app.

Reading Insights can be found on the official Kindle app for Android and iOS devices by navigating through the menus – to get started, just click the More button and then tap Reading Insights.

When you go to this page, you will be greeted with information such as weeks in a row you have read and days in a row.

Unfortunately, unlike other official apps like the Xbox app, you won’t be rewarded with any perks like discounts or freebies for reading more.

However, if you manage to build an impressive reading streak, you can brag about it online.

As the Good e-Reader website points outthere is Reddit threads where Kindle fans have shared the amazing streaks they’ve built.

Some Reddit users have reported building weekly reading streaks that have taken years, while others have incredibly managed to hit daily reading streaks of 1,500 days.

If you’re wondering if you’ve managed to hit impressive milestones, then check out the Reading Insights website or the Reading Insights feature on the official Kindle app today.
